Our job is to make a complex commercial care offer legible. We prioritize claims a reader can trace, preserve decision-useful terms beside the offer, and keep affiliate economics outside the scoring process.
Editorial independence
Providers do not buy rankings, review language, awards, or favorable placement. Commercial relationships do not decide what we cover or how we score it. A client relationship is disclosed on the relevant provider record and remains outside the score and sorting function. The editor has final authority over all published conclusions.
How we select sources
We prefer sources closest to the claim being evaluated. Our general source order is:
- Primary provider materials: pricing pages, terms, policies, clinical disclosures, FAQs, and other provider-owned documents.
- Government and regulatory sources: agencies, official drug labeling, and professional licensing or corporate records when relevant.
- Original correspondence: written answers or documentation supplied by a provider, identified as such.
- Independent secondary reporting: used for context, not as a substitute for a primary source when one is available.
Facts, calculations, and judgment
A published fee, a cost calculation, and an editorial score are different things. Our pages make that difference visible. Calculations state their assumptions. Rankings explain the factors behind the result. A documented figure is never replaced with an estimate.
Price and availability checks
Online programs change prices, medication availability, eligibility rules, and service areas. Pages identify when key details were checked. A checked date is a research timestamp, not a guarantee that every term remains unchanged.
Medical boundaries
We report how providers describe their services and how regulators describe medications. We do not diagnose, recommend a medication for an individual, promise an outcome, or replace a consultation with a licensed clinician. Editorial review is not medical review unless a page explicitly identifies a named, qualified medical reviewer.
Corrections and provider responses
Material factual errors are corrected as quickly as practical. Significant changes may be noted on the page. Providers may submit source-backed corrections, but they do not receive editorial approval rights. Readers and providers can send documentation through our contact page.
Commercial disclosures
When a link can earn us money, we label it Paid link beside the link. Compensation never adds ranking points or changes an editorial conclusion. Non-affiliate client relationships are also disclosed on the relevant ranking. Our affiliate disclosure describes this model in detail.
